If I die too young or too soon,
Could it be because your finger tips never traced a pattern on my skin?
Could it be, your two hands never pressed against my flesh?
Could it be, your folded knuckle never lifted my chin to meet
Your soft lips?

If I die too young or too soon,
Could it be, your warm body never lay beside me?
Could it be, your shoulder my head never rested upon?
Could it be, your two arms never held be against
Your heart?

If I die too young or too soon,
Could it be the moments we never spent together?
Could it be the sunsets we never watched?
Could it be the time I thought I could live without you?
Could it be a dream?

Could it be a dream, or a fantasy, or my heart
Filled with longing?

Could it be my existence filled with aching?

If I die too young or too soon,

Could it be....because,
Your were just a dream?
