As I look out the window of my mind,
I see many hopes, dreams, and desires
That might be fulfilled,
That might not.
I see emotions, strong and burning,
Hurting my heart, making me wonder
As my mind keeps telling me in a
Confused, rambling way that
I could have a chance,
That I might become something someday.
People live to pull me down,
Grasping my legs and trying to trip me up
In their mistakes and gossip,
Telling me I am not smart,
Telling me I am ugly,
Telling me that I am not worth their time.
They’ll see one day,
When the prince becomes the pauper,
And the lowly rule over all.
