I can feel you all around me,
Your smell hangs thick in the air.
The pressure of your hands still
Tingles my body all over.
Before…before…
Before this hard time…
I could feel your warm breath,
I could taste your salty tears,
I could see those happy eyes,
Smiling eyes, that were smiling
At me, and me alone.
Even earlier…that nervous day…
That first embrace…
Later that night, that first kiss…
Everything we’d longed for,
Everything we’d hoped for,
Was finally here, alive,
Spewing out of us.
But now…the sad time…
I have to leave you behind…
Leave behind the love…
Leave behind the touch…
I wish things weren’t so hard…
Goodbye, my love…
